A new teacher came in for training at Chungdahm. Training doesn't happen at the school you're assigned to. Everyone who trains goes to the same place, a main office in Seoul.
Now, this new teacher apparently had swine flu. They didn't find out until after he started work at his CDI Branch.
When they found out, they decided to cancel all classes at all CDI locations. Until June 3rd. Meaning, I'm technically on vacation for over a week.
Some of us were thinking we'd go on a trip. But, as it turns out, we have to stay in Korea. We're required to report our body temperature twice a day until we start work again. They're providing the thermometers for us. We're also supposed to stay in our homes as much as possible...yeah....no....
Nice way to start off the new term!

Here are some more pictures from my outing with my cousin. He sent me the ones he took.

Em, Funny stuff. I'm a CDI teacher as well and I went surfing on the net for Bird Flu gossip and I found your blog. I especially like your hiku dialouges between you and students. Very funny.
Cheers,
josh
